Ex certified

Our Ex proof products are compliant to the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU for use in potentially explosive atmospheres or hazardous locations and are in accordance with IEC/EN 60079 series of explosive atmosphere standards. Certification in accordance with standards other than ATEX and IECEx are available on request. These devices serve the specific needs off radio equipment and wireless infrastructure in explosive environment in various industries, including on-/off-shore, mining, and chemical industry.
Ex entry devices for coaxial RF Lines

Ex entry devices are approved for use in in potentially explosive atmosphere or hazardous locations and areas of Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust) and for coaxial cabling/interconnection with Ex-d enclosures. These products are of specific interest where an active access point is placed within an Ex certified enclosure, which needs to be connected with an antenna (Ex-i or in an housing). Different cable connectors in combination with the appropriate cable allow maximum flexibility in routing cables at highest possible performance and lowest possible losses.

Ex RF surge protective devices

Ex RF surge protective devices Ex and surge protective devices are approved for use in potentially explosive atmosphere or hazardous locations and areas of Zone 2 (gas) and Zone 22 (dust) and provide reliable prevention against dangerous overvoltage surges on coaxial lines. This includes all kinds of interference, e.g. resistive, magnetic field and electric field coupling, caused by lightning strikes, switching and other natural or manmade electrical effects. This way, the operator of active equipment is not only protected from financial losses caused by the need of replacing the equipment, but also avoids downtime of the system after a possible event. This is specifically important in environment where access to equipment is difficult, dangerous and expensive, as on an oil platform for instance.
