Bredengen is a supplier of IPTV and TV systems for the maritime market. Our tailor-made systems are designed to function optimally in maritime environments and include stabilized satellite antennas and main hubs. We have been a reliable supplier of satellite reception equipment to floating platforms and ships since 1988. Our clientele includes the Norwegian fishing fleet, the Navy, the cruise industry, offshore platforms, and residential rigs.

Above Deck

We rely on antennas from Cobham SeaTel Inc., renowned for delivering high-quality stabilized satellite antennas. Our portfolio includes antennas of various sizes, from 45cm to 3.60m, to meet different needs and requirements.

Below Deck

Over the years, based on feedback from our customers in the offshore and cruise industries, we have adapted and developed the best systems and methods. We largely use components from our standard range of land-based cable TV solutions. Our current systems are either Ethernet-based IPTV systems or DVB-C (QAM) over coaxial. If desired, IPTV systems can be delivered with hospitality features. Local sources are integrated into the systems using custom encoders that support both HDMI and A/V interfaces.

SRT streaming til marint bruk via Starlink

Wisi har nå en løsning for å sende tv via internett ved hjelp av SRT protokollen.
Det fungerer ved å sette opp èn hoved sentral på land som streamer ut til flere lokasjoner via internett, for eksempel til båter med Starlink. Da trenger man bare en 1U, 19 tommers modul om bord, som tar imot SRT strømmen og sender ut enten iptv eller til coax.

Har man flere båter, med Starlink, kan det lønne seg å gjøre det på den måten,
fremfor å ha en hovedsentral med stabilisert antenne på hver båt.
